Office Manager

Saint Joseph Catholic School is seeking a full‑time, year‑round Office Manager/Administrative Assistant. The position supports the Principal and serves as a welcoming, organized, and professional presence for the entire school community. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic school environment, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all staff, student, and school‑related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Principal
  • Manage calendars, communication, and daily office operations
  • Coordinate visitor procedures, student dismissals, and staff arrival/dismissal
  • Provide first aid and administer student medications with parent permission
  • Support school groups, including the Advisory Council and PTO

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage inquiries independently and communicate professionally
  • Understanding of and commitment to the Catholic faith and school mission

Elementary Teacher

Saint Joseph Catholic School, located in Columbia, South Carolina, is accepting applications from qualified elementary teachers. The selected applicants will develop dynamic lessons, class projects, and activities that enhance the students’ academic, social, and spiritual needs and fulfill and exceed the South Carolina and Diocese academic standards.

Elementary Music Teacher

Saint Joseph Catholic School, located in Columbia, South Carolina, is accepting applications for a qualified Music teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The responsibilities of the position include the following: developing dynamic lessons; developing class projects and activities for K4–6th grade students that fulfill and exceed the South Carolina and Diocesan academic standards; planning and directing a Christmas program and a spring program. The position will oversee the planning of weekly Mass music.

Applicants should have an understanding of the Catholic faith and be able to incorporate lessons that uphold and build upon the school’s mission. Preferred applicants will have piano-playing experience and knowledge of other musical instruments. All applicants must hold a current South Carolina license or equivalent licenses.

Position may be part-time or full-time.
